PE/VC investments hit record $37 billion this year

Amid turbulent times for the private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) world in the US and China, 2019 was a recordsetting year for investments through this route in India. PE/VC investment activity (excluding real estate) rose to the highest ever level of $37 billion from 861 transactions this year on the back of large-ticket infrastructure deals, according to data from Venture Intelligence.
