Dmitry Muratov, one of Russia's most respected independent journalists, will file a lawsuit contesting the Kremlin's recent decision to label him a "foreign agent," Muratov's publication, Novaya Gazeta, reported on Monday. According to the publication, Muratov will temporarily stand down as editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta while he fights the designation. Sergey Sokolov, his deputy, will take over as interim editor-in-chief.
